My coaching philosophy is deeply symbolized by the ship's wheel. It's a powerful image that resonates with me personally, reflecting my father's naval service, his gift to me as a child of a ship’s wheel from Japan, and my own lifelong connection to New England and the sea. But more than that, it embodies the core principles of my coaching practice.

The ship's wheel represents so much: leadership, guidance, resilience, and the ability to navigate the sometimes-turbulent waters of life. It speaks to taking control of your course, embracing the adventure, and staying steady even when the waves get rough. Just as a captain guides a ship, you have the power to steer your own life in the direction you desire, toward the goals you want to achieve.

In my coaching services, the ship's wheel is a constant reminder of the partnership we will form. I am here to help you navigate through seasons of change, discernment, and the realization of your full potential.

I bring a heart and passion for coaching, guiding and encouraging people to be their best and partnering with them to have their vision “hit the road”.  My desire for having an impact in people’s lives has been built over 35 years in leadership roles in higher education and consulting, facilitating professional development, and guiding individuals and teams through growth and transformation.

My coaching is built on a deep understanding of people, organizational culture, and the challenges that come with leading in complex spaces. my own experiences, forged through taking risks on exciting opportunities and going through difficult challenges and change, I have emerged as someone who understands the landscape of the higher education and non-profit spaces, and my work is fueled by a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives. I believe in the power of encouragement, the importance of listening well, and the transformative impact of clarity and conviction.

At the heart of it all is my Christian faith, which grounds my perspective and approach. I believe we’re all created with unique gifts and purpose, and I see coaching as a way to help others uncover that calling and move toward it with confidence.
